A Comparison of Two Pictures

Ballet is the hardest dance in the world. We discriminate Ballet from two kinds nowadays. One is Romantic Ballet and other is Classical Ballet. There are some differences between Romantic Ballet and Classical Ballet.

One difference is dancer’s performing quality. For example, Romantic Ballet has a very light floating quality. The dancer seem like a flying or floating spirit on the stage. The movements are always soft, light or slower. But Classical Ballet usually has a strong and powerful quality. The dancer always has a clean body line. The movement requested precise and energetic. They always show a difficult technique, like pirouette, grande jeté, and grande battement.

The second area of different is costume. We called ballet dress TuTu. In Romantic Ballet, the ballerina wears a long TuTu. We called it Romantic TuTu. The Romantic TuTu usually is white, so Romantic Ballet called White Ballet. In Classical Ballet, the ballerina wears a short TuTu. It called Classical TuTu. The Classical TuTu always resplendent and pretty. You may ask why the TuTu becomes shorter in Classical Ballet. That is corresponding the first difference; the dancer needs to show a clean body line.

Although there are differences between Romantic Ballet and Classical Ballet. They both show elegantly and need a standard on performance.

Besides eating, he likes chewing playing ball. Tissue is his favorite thing to chew. He also likes chewing plastic bottles. My friends say that is so save money because I don’t need to buy any toy for him. But sometimes he will mix-up the whole house.

The Most Unforgettable Experience in My Life

The most unforgettable experience in my life was a performance with my high school classmates. The performance was created by ourslves. That was first time I tried to choreograph a piece. That also was everyone’s first time to make a performance for our classmates.
At first, we didn’t know how to do it. Then the teacher asked us who wanted to be the choreographer. There were almost seven people who wanted to create pieces. Some people wanted to create two pieces, so we had ten pieces in this performance.
After we decied the choreographer, we started to work with our dancer. I created a solo piece to my best friend-A Li. I also created a group piece with A Li. When we worked together, we always had a great time. I think that because we were best friends. We often had the same ideas.
Meanwhile, I was the dancer in five different pieces. Usually, we worked after school classes. Therefore, we always worked very late. Although everyone felt tired, we didn’t have any complaints.
When the day of performance arrived, every classmates were exciting and felt proud for ourslves. We really made it. After the show, everyone, especially girls, was crying. Because the performance was last time we were dancing together.
Although it has been ten years, Istill remember the performance and every classmates. That was one of my great memories in my life.

Qualities of a Good Dancer

It is not an easy thing to become a dancer. Training is starting from childhood. It takes a long time to work and keep working hard every day. In my opinion, to become a good dancer, they must have three qualities.

First, they must have a flexible body. A flexible body can make their movement variable. Sometimes it can become quick or slow, and sometimes it can become strong or soft. Like the dancer-Sylvie Guillem, she is one of the great dancers in 20 century. Her confidence comes from her body. Her famous movement “six o’clock” shocked everybody. Through training dancer’s body flexibly, the dance will become more interesting.

Second, the deep emotion they must show. Emotion is the key point of the dance atmosphere. And it shows the character in the play. For example, “Carmen” is a vigorous and unrestrained girl. She always has been coquettish. When dancer plays “Carmen”, she needs to exaggerate her facial expression and body. If dancers don’t show any emotions while they dance, the dancing will become very flat and boring.

Finally, a good dancer must have a good sense of rhythm. Dance and music are complement for each other. If dancers want their performance become perfect. They have familiar with the music and rhythm. They need to follow the music and keep on the tempo.

Dancing is more than just a sport. It takes a lot of practices and hard work. A training process achieves a good dancer. Dancers need to have those qualities of a flexible, deep emotion, and a good sense of rhythm. Also, they show those qualities in their performance.
